Throughout our life, adult stem cells are made in the body. And as science has recently discovered, these adult stem cells are the body’s primary system of renewal and restoration. Our bodies release millions of stem cells from the bone marrow when we are young. People may choose Medical procedures that extract stem cells to be used in specific areas or choose patented nutrition that can release stem cells for use by the organs, tissues, muscles, bones etc of the body. Athletes might choose both.  https://www.usesofstemcells.com/

We all remember

When We WereYoung

when bumps, bruises and injuries healed really quickly. When you are thinking about body repair you are thinking about the Uses of Stem Cells.

A baby has adult stem cell circulation of 100% in their blood stream. When a child fractures a leg or has injuries and illnesses, they heal and repair quickly because their system of adult stem cell release into the blood stream is functioning at optimal levels. As we age, everything slows down. It takes longer for cuts and scrapes to heal, even longer to recover form coughs and colds. Part of the reason for this is that our adult stem cells are not released as efficiently from the bone marrow. Like a car or any other piece of equipment, over time our bodies begin to wear out. Stem cell nutrition is a way to maintain optimal health over time by maintaining optimal stem cell function (like when we were younger)
Scientific anti-aging research shows adult stem cell release rates from the bone marrow drop at an astonishing rate as we age, as per the following percentages:
  • 35 years - the stem cell release rate drops by 45%
  • 50 years - the stem cell release rate drops by 50%
  • 65 years - the stem cell release rate drops by 90% (leaving only 10% of adult stem cells circulating in the blood stream and this is when we need them the most to fight disease, sickness, and just plain 'GETTING OLD"!......https://www.usesofstemcells.com/

Risks with weight loss shakes

Teens take risks with protein powders,

              weight loss shakes.

Australian teenagers are being lured into buying dangerous protein powders that are being sold over the internet, while cases of hospital admissions for high heart rates, dizziness, vomiting and even death have been attributed to some protein powders.
A boom in sports foods has led to a free-for-all on the internet for protein powders that are often made and distributed in unknown circumstances with mystery ingredients.
Experts are urging consumers - including body-conscious teenage boys, gym junkies, body-builders and people trying to lose weight - to buy only reputable brands and check all labels carefully.
This follows the NSW Food Authority's investigation last year into supplementary sports foods that led directly to the banning by the Therapeutic Goods Administration of the ingredient 1,3-dimethylamylamine (DMAA), found in some of the powders.
Director of enforcement and compliance at the Food Authority Peter Day said: "It's very hard to track down those products which are not bought from store fronts.
''We found a number of hospital admissions of people with a very high heart rate, dizziness, stomach ache and vomiting from the misuse of products."
Risks associated with DMAA include high blood pressure, psychiatric disorders, bleeding in the brain and strokes. In August last year, the West Australian Coroner found that a fly-in-fly-out mine worker died from taking DMAA, which he had bought over the internet.
Yet even without the presence of DMAA, some protein powders have been known to have an adverse effect on health, with the British Dietetic Association saying high levels of additional protein over a period of time can cause kidney and liver damage.
The popularity of consuming protein powders, commonly mixed with either water or milk as a quick drink, has taken off in recent years.
No precise figures exist but $80 million was spent by Australians last year on sports foods, a rise of 27.7 per cent over 2011.
Many of the protein powders contain synthetic chemicals, sugars and artificial flavourings, as well as the milk isolates or concentrates that make up the usual whey protein.
As a result, a number of consumers have reported side-effects, whether from the chemicals or from allergic reactions to contents

Personal trainer Guy Lawrence decided to recommend protein powders, in combination with exercise, to help them recover their health.
But when he took a closer look at the labels of many of the powders on the market, he was appalled at what he found. ''They had so many chemicals, artificial sweeteners, fillers, thickeners and preservatives, I thought they couldn't possibly be healthy,'' he said. ''I was looking for something pure, with good ingredients, without all those potentially harmful additives.''

Sugary Drinks Linked to 25,000 U.S. Deaths.

Sugary Drinks Linked to 25,000 U.S. Deaths.

In a study that's sure to shake up the soda ban debate, Harvard researchers have linked the sugary drinks to 180,000 deaths a year worldwide, 25,000 in the United States alone.

25,000 U.S. Deaths Linked to Sugary Drinks (ABC News)

"We know that sugar-sweetened beverages are linked to obesity, and that a large number of deaths are caused by obesity-related diseases. But until now, nobody had really put these pieces together," said Gitanjali Singh, a postdoctoral research fellow at the Harvard School of Public Health in Boston and lead author of the study presented today at the American Heart Association's annual meeting in New Orleans.
Singh and colleagues spent five years putting the pieces together. Using data from national health surveys around the world, the team tied sugar-sweetened beverages to 133,000 deaths from diabetes, 44,000 deaths from cardiovascular diseases and 6,000 deaths from cancer in 2010.
The study adds to mounting evidence that sugar-sweetened beverages, loaded with calories that carry little nutritional value, are a public health hazard.
"I think our findings should really impel policymakers to make effective policies to reduce sugary beverage consumption since it causes a significant number of deaths," said Singh, adding that she thinks "cause" is an appropriate word despite the limitations of the association study.

Glutathione the premier Nutritional supplement

Glutathione and Cancer

Doctor Mehmet C Oz told his studio audience that they may be worried for the wrong reasons on Thursday’s show.
There are some myths concerning cancer and he wanted to set the record straight.

Cancer is the second leading cause of death. He said that the
doctors aren’t telling the lies, but we are “telling each other’.

Big Lie #1: You Don’t Have Cancer

“We all have microscopic cancers growing inside of us all of the time,”
Dr William Li, MD, a cancer researcher and pioneer, told Oz.
There are 50 trillion cells in our body and all it takes is one cell to mutate.

Our immune system fights these cells every day. Also, our body naturally
prevents blood vessels from growing into and feeding cancers.

We can eat the right foods and avoid the wrong foods. Don’t get too much sun,
avoid cigarette smoke and use sun screen. Also avoid processed meats, sleep right and exercise.

Big Lie #2: You Can’t Catch Cancer

Is cancer contagious?

“There are certain bacteria and viruses that can cause cancer,”
Ilana Cass, MD told Oz. Cass is an oncologist at the Samuel Oschin
Cancer Institute at Cedars Sinai. These viruses and bacteria are contagious.

H. Pylori can cause stomach cancer and affects 30 to 40 percent of Americans.
This can be treated with antibiotics.

Human papillomavirus (HPV) can cause cervical cancer.
About 20 million Americans have been exposed to HPV and about
five percent of all cancers are associated with it.

Hepatitis B can cause liver damage and liver cancer.
This and HPV are viruses and vaccinations are available.

Big Lie #3: The Only Place to Check for Breast Cancer is Your Breast

Women and doctors should check the breast and lymph nodes.
Oz said to check for lumps at the same “time” every month – like on the 1st.

Dara Richardson-Heron , MD from the Susan G Komen of Greater New York Foundation,
said to check from the clavicle and axillary areas. Inflammatory cancer
does not create a lump but dimples the skin like an orange peal.

Big Lie #4: You Can Only Get Female Cancers from your Mother

Breast, uterus and ovarian cancer can be inherited from both your mom and dad.
Just because you inherit the defective gene doesn’t mean you will always get the cancer,
according to Dr. Cass.
Secret Weapons against Cancer

“Your genes load the gun but your environment pulls the trigger” Oz said.
Lifestyle changes can reduce the risk of developing cancer.

Dr Li said eating Gouda Cheese can reduce the risk of cancer. These cheeses contain
vitamin K2 which inhibits cancer. All you need is two slices of “hard” cheese a
day to reduce lung and prostate cancer risk. Vitamin K2 also protects the
heart from hardening of the arteries.

Dr Cass said to exercise three times per week for 30 minutes to elevate the heart rate.
She said 45 minutes five days a week is better. Keep the weight down, Oz recommended.

Dr Richardson said that we need to limit our intake of pan-fired and grilled meats.
This includes pork, chicken and even fish. Frying the meat breaks down the muscle
and the charred black areas are the worse. She recommended marinating the meat first.
You can put foil on the grill to prevent charring the meat.

Steaming, broiling and even sautéing are acceptable alternatives. And if we grill something,
grill vegetables and fruits.
Most Power Antioxidant - Glutathione

David Katz, MD, Director of the Yale Prevention Research Center,
said glutathione is the most power antioxidant.
The body manufactures this to defend us against toxins.

If you have a chronic disease like diabetes or cancer, you might not have
enough of this antioxidant. Even if you are just “run-down”
you may not have enough, according to Katz.

We can naturally increase our glutathione by eating broccoli, cauliflower, garlic and onions.
These are sulfur rich vegetables. Selenium rich foods can also help build the substance.
Oats, black beans, Brazil nuts and tuna help us manufacture glutathione.

Vitamin B6 and Milk Thistle supplements can help us create glutathione.
Katz said Milk thistle can help liver function. This protects and helps the liver produce it.

Exercise can boost glutathione levels. It helps filter the toxins out of the body too.

and don't bother taking any old supplement because most Glutathione supplements
are a waste of time.

Antioxidants

Antioxidants and Healthy Aging

The Free Radical Theory of Aging. The Free Radical theory of

Aging was proposed by Dr D Harman in 1954. It proposed that

the formation of free radicals from chemical reactions in the body

led to the breakdown of cellular health.

Free radicals are unstable molecules that are missing electrons.

These molecules come from our normal metabolism and various

disease states, including high blood cholesterol levels, hypertension

and diabetes, exogenous toxins, cigarette smoking, unhealthy

food choices, pollution, stress and even exercise. They damage

healthy cells by stripping their electrons, making the healthy

cells less able to resist and repair cellular damage.

He amended this theory in 1972 with the

“Mitochondrial Theory of Aging” when he realized that our

mitochondria were producing and being affected by

free radicals and that our mitochondrial health determines our actual life span.

There are numerous degenerative diseases attributed to free radical damage.

Overall, free radicals have been implicated in the development of at

least 60 diseases, including heart disease, cancer, arthritis and

other inflammatory diseases, kidney disease, cataracts,

lung dysfunction, pancreatitis and various skin lesions.

Antioxidants.

Antioxidants are important because they neutralize free radicals

before they can damage our cells. The most important source

of antioxidants is in the food we choose to eat, mostly found in

deeply pigmented fruits and vegetables.

The other source of antioxidants is through supplements like Glutathione.

Essential for life

Glutathione…as essential for life as oxygen, and yet few people know what it is.
We want you to understand why glutathione is vital to
your health and longevity and how Max One™ and Maxgxl™
increase your levels of Glutathione.
So, what is glutathione? It is the major cell
protector and the master antioxidant in the body.
Antioxidants protect the cells in our bodies from
oxidation and oxidative stress, and that’s a good thing —
oxidative stress has been associated
with more than 74 major diseases and disorders.
Glutathione is a protein produced naturally in our cells
if the required building blocks
are available. As the most important antioxidant, glutathione:

* Is present in every cell in the body.
* Functions as an antitoxin and is a major defense system against illness and aging.
* Strengthens the immune system
* Fights intracellular inflammation
* Supports increased exercise
* Slows the aging process

The production of glutathione in our bodies slows as we age,
leaving us vulnerable to oxidative stress,
caused by environmental pollutants,
diet, stress, and even exercise. Pub Med,
maintained by the U.S. National Library of Medicine,
has more than 91,000 articles on glutathione
substantiating its health benefits (in contrast,
there are around 40,000 articles on vitamin C).
And yet doctors and scientists around the world have been
unable to find a way to effectively deliver
glutathione to the cells until recently.
MaxGXL® is an exclusive, breakthrough product that provides
the body with nutrients that increase your glutathione production.

Consumer interest in health and wellness on the rise.

Consumers are continuing to increase spending on
products for health and wellness –

According to the report, Reimagining Health 2010 which
carried out an online survey to find out about US consumers’
attitudes toward health and wellness and triggers for
changing behaviours. It found that the average household
spends $148.48 a month – or 19 percent of all monthly spending –
on fortified foods, those that are lower in cholesterol,
saturated fat, trans fat, and salt and supplements.

The report found
“Aging and changing health are key triggers for older cohorts,
while energy and stress trigger awareness for younger cohorts,”

And the organization said that the first ‘significant’
realization of a need to participate in health and wellness
occurs between the ages of 40 and 50 with changes in appearance,
the onset of minor health complaints, having less energy, or weight gain.

“They are looking for products and services that help them
meet their wellness goals and aspirations. With virtually all consumers
involved in wellness on some level, this represents tremendous
opportunities for manufacturers and retailers.”
.

Food vs. Supplements

Food vs. Supplements

Consumers around the world are more likely to address some
health conditions via foods, while preferring dietary
supplements for others, finds a new survey.

According to global research by Ipsos Marketing, food and beverages rival
supplements when it comes to digestion, energy, weight and blood sugar levels.
However, dietary supplements were by far the most popular option for
benefits linked to immunity, brain health and memory, bone and joint health,
cancer prevention, hormonal balance and eye health.

Established health links
The key differentiation, according to Ipsos, comes down to consumer
awareness of well-established health links, which is what prompts
them to go for foods or supplements.
The survey, which tracked responses from 21,623 adults in 23 countries,
also identified a mid-way category of health conditions, which people are
more likely to address with supplements.

Supplements
These used for heart health, cancer prevention and immunity benefits,
increased brain power and memory, and bone and joint health which
most people would first turn to supplements for.

A wide range of countries participated in the survey: Argentina,
Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany,
Hungary, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Poland, Russia, South Korea,
Spain, Sweden, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Great Britain,
the United States and Turkey.

Sport Nutrition

Non-sporty consumers drive
Sports nutrition market.

As global sales of sports nutrition products maintain
healthy growth rates, one distinct – and unexpected –
group of consumers is emerging as the main driver for the market,
made up of people who are not necessarily interested in sports.

Sports nutrition consumers can be split into four main groups:
body builders, athletes, recreational users (who pursue sport as a hobby)
and an emerging group of lifestyle users.

Lifestyle users, are not necessarily very athletic, but are
choosing to consume sports nutritional products as an initial
building block in leading a healthier lifestyle.

People within this group mainly consume sports nutrition products
in order to provide a refreshing beverage, a quick meal
replacement or simply a healthy snack. Consumers within the group
may also use sports nutrition products to provide an
energy boost during illness, or even when feeling tired.

Most Beneficial

Study: Anti-aging Supplements Most Beneficial When Taken Earlier In Life
June 4, 2010 by Personal Liberty News Desk
Results of a new University of Florida College of Medicine
study suggest anti-aging supplements are most effective when
taken before the onset of old age.

Using an animal model, lead author Christiaan Leeuwenburgh
and his colleagues tested a mixture of anti-aging supplements
on a group of middle-aged and late-aged subjects. The supplements
contained antioxidant coenzyme Q10, creatine and ginseng.

After six weeks, the younger subjects—whose age corresponded to
50-year-old to 65-year-old humans—improved their grip strength
by 12 percent and their neurological function by 66 percent compared
to a cohort of control group participants.

In contrast, older subjects—whose age was comparable to 65-year-old
to 80-year-old men and women—experienced no statistically relevant
improvement in physical or cognitive function.
"It is possible that there is a window during which these compounds
will work, and if the intervention is given after that time it won’t work,"
said researcher Jinze Xu.
However, older subjects who were given the supplements did lower their
levels of oxidative stress and improve their energy levels.

Glutathione - Most important Antioxidant

"I can tell you without equivocation that glutathione is the most important endogenous antioxidant there is. It is manufactured by the body and is the only antioxidant that can recycle itself."

Such is the judgment of a highly regarded and credentialed scientist who served for 32 years as a senior editor for the prestigious, international Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, and one year as Acting Editor-in-Chief. He didn’t reach this conclusion after a cursory study of glutathione, but only after dedicating 25 years to study this most important of all cell protectors.

He was Adjunct Professor, Center for Drug Design, and Professor Emeritus, Medicinal Chemistry and Toxicology, both at the University of Minnesota. He served as a Senior Scientist for the Veterans Administration.

In addition to his service to Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, he served on the editorial board of the journal Bioconjugate Chemistry for eight years, and as an ad hoc grant reviewer for the NCI and NIAAA, National Institutes of Health. He has published more than 165 papers in peer-reviewed journals, and is the inventor named on ten U.S. and PCT patent applications. He has spent 40 years in research labs at both the University of Minnesota and the V.A. Medical Center in Minneapolis.

We are, of course, referring to Herbert Nagasawa, Ph.D.

Lower Glutathione

(NaturalNews) It has been confirmed that correctly prescribed pharmaceuticals rank among the five highest causes of death in the USA, and that the U.S. medical system is responsible for more deaths in the USA than anything else! And what dangerous ingredient is common to both prescription painkillers and over the counter (OTC) cold remedies and painkillers?

Acetaminophen. It is in over 100 OTC pain pills and other cold remedies, including cold, cough, and fever remedies for children.

What's Wrong With Acetaminophen

As reported in a recent Natural News article on glutathione, hospital emergency (ERs) carry a rapid glutathione booster pharmaceutical N-acetylcysteine (NAC), for acetaminophen poisoning. It has to be in ERs because acetaminophen liver poisoning happens often! The acetaminophen destroys glutathione and the liver goes into extreme stress, sometimes causing death.

Acetaminophen also endangers the kidneys. But hepatotoxicity (liver poisoning) can be acute enough to cause death or with steady use, gradually cause chronic health problems involving the liver or kidneys, even cancer.

The U.S. Acute Liver Failure Study Group found that 50% of all liver failures are from acetaminophen poisoning. Other follow up studies on steady OTC acetaminophen drug users have shown that 60% were more prone to suffer hearing loss or become asthmatic. Dependence on acetaminophens hinders your immune system.

Anyone using a prescription painkiller and taking OTC drugs for colds, fever, or minor aches and pains is raising liver failure risks considerably, as is anyone with liver problems who uses OTC acetaminophen.

Glutathione

It's wonderful that so many people are benefiting from a wide range of supplementation. I am a little surprised that the importance of Glutathione
is not more widely known.

Glutathione is the bodies primary antioxidant, primary anti inflammatory, main detoxifier and critical for ATP production, the currency of energy as well as the immune system.
Glutathione is the big deal, as it is required by every cell in your body!

We can’t live with out it and it begins to decline from age 20. Yes, it does sound a bit like planned obsolescence.
It's no use taking the compound orally as it's broken down in the gut and taking it intravenously does not get it into your cells either.
There are however pre cursors that have been demonstrated to dramatically increase intra cellular glutathione levels. I've seen remarkable changes across a wide spectrum of the population.

Glutathione has been your best friend from the moment you took your first breath and will be fighting for your life at your last breath.

Is Anti Aging more than skin deep?

Is Anti Aging more than skin deep?

Sure how we look is important for our vanity.
The question I have is do we have enough consideration for how cells
through out the body age if not given the essential nutrients?
How to maximise the longevity of all cells age is important I believe. http://max4me.blogspot.com
